Double Degree Stuttgart and Chalmers (SWE)

General

The Chalmers Tekniska Högskola, Gothenburg, Sweden and Universität Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany jointly implement a Double Master`s Degree program. Participants of the program will obtain a Master`s Degree in Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology and a Master`s Degree in WAREM at Universität Stuttgart in two separate diplomas.

Objectives

Our Master’s programme Water Resources Engineering and Management (WAREM) in Stuttgart covers the wide range of water engineering including groundwater resources management and geohydrology, hydraulic engineering and river basin management, as well as sanitary engineering and water quality management. In the double degree especially the sanitary engineering part is promoted. The programme Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering (IEE) in Gothenburg has it‘s focus in the field of infrastructure and environmental engineering. For the double degree programme particularly the protection of soil and water resources, design of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants and collection and distribution systems are incorporated in the curriculum. Integration of professional experience in education is an important part in both programmes and the student should be well prepared for entering the market in a professional role but also be enabled to continue in research and development.
