Double Degree Programs with Chalmers, Sweden and UiTM, Malaysia

WAREM offers  DOUBLE DEGREE Programs with Chalmers University, Gothenborg, Sweden and Universiti Teknologi  MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia. Students who are interested in the DOUBLE DEGREE study two semesters in Stuttgart and two at the partner university  to receive a degree.
Application for the DOUBLE DEGREE Program at the beginning of the1st semester. Information will be given!

Medium of Instruction

The courses of the Master’s programs at Chalmers University, at the Universiti Teknologi, MARA and at Universität Stuttgart are offered in English.

Timeline

Stuttgart students take the first two semesters in WAREM at Universität Stuttgart. For the second year, the Master’s program is continued at Chalmers University of Technology or Universiti Teknologi, MARA.

Likewise, Chalmers students and students from MARA also take the first two semesters at Chalmers University of Technology or MARA University and join the second year of the Master’s program in WAREM at Universität Stuttgart.

Curriculum

Students must take at least four compulsory courses at the second university, or ratify them with equivalent courses taken at their first university, and do the final thesis project in order to get the Master’s Degree from the second university.

  • Final Thesis Project 30 ECTS
  • Total: 60 ECTS

Group Consultations

In the group consultations of the foreign study advisory, you get a first overview of your possibilities to study abroad. Afterwards, the respective program co-ordinators will be happy to advise you on your individual study project. Please make an appointment for a single consultation!

Financial Considerations

Students will pay for their own expenses connected with travelling abroad (i.e. passport, visa and international transportation costs), health insurance, accommodation and other living costs.
Additional charges, including any for social services or student union fees, depend on the regulations of the receiving university.
In general no tuition fees will be paid to the receiving university during the period that students are actively participating in the Double Master’s Degree programme. Please talk to the course coordinators concerning specific regulations.
